What a disaster! Followed the instructions and lost EVERYTHING!

It worked very well
I recently bought Copy Commander at a local computer store and used it to move a Linux installation from one hard drive to another after creating a new partition. It's simple to use, even for a non-expert like myself: All you do is insert the bootable CD (make sure the "boot order" in your BIOS has your CD or DVD drive listed first), restart your computer, then follow the menus. There's a "help" button on each dialog box that pops up, and I actually found the help screens to be helpful. (E.g., I didn't even know what an "extended partition" was until one of the help screens explained it to me.) Before you exit the program, the software also warns you about potential boot errors if you made certain mistakes in setting up your partitions, and it advises you on how to correct them. All in all, I was impressed with CC's user-friendliness. I was pretty nervous when subsequently booting up the newly-moved Linux partition, but no data appears to have been corrupted. That's all I could've asked for.
Not quite an "one click" solution as advertised
I used Copy Commander from Vcom to move data from my old hard drive to a new larger one. The copy process seemed to work ok until I attempted to connect the pc to the internet via a dialup modem. Numerous Window 98 driver files where missing and the modem would not work until the missing files were copied from the OS disk. I later found some other driver files missing as well. VCOM support seemed to be aware of the problem but expressed no interest in researching the problem so as to correct it. Their repeated answer: "Just reinstall the missing driver files from the OS disk." Note: They only offered support via email.
The product claims to be a "One click is all it takes to copy your old drive to your new drive." solution. While it did save me a lot of time reinstalling all my programs it failed to be a true "one click" solution. If you choose to use this product just be aware you may have to manually copy some missing driver files. All my data files appeared to be copied ok.
I suggest you try using one of the free disk copy programs several of the hard drive manufactures provide before buying Copy Commander.
