Customer Reviews of Cooking Light [2-year subscription]
The BEST Magazine Ever! I have subscribed to Cooking Light for many years, after getting "hooked" on it in my dentist's waiting room. The recipes are healthy, tasty, and easy to follow, and the articles are interesting and informative. I love reading cooking magazines, and this one is my favorite, by far!
Eat Smart . . . Be Fit . . . Live Well
I have been a subscriber of "Cooking Light" and I have always enjoyed this magazine for all its wonderful contents. I'm always amazed reading all the interesting articles about healthy living, and not to mention the featured foods and recipes, some nutritional advice on maintaining a sensible diet, as well as menu suggestions. There's also a featured article on travel and if you are fond of traveling, you'll be delighted with this added feature. You will also enjoy its exercise and beauty tips.

>The April 2007 issue focuses on "sweet signs of Spring" and gives the readers insights, suggestions and tips on how to make the most to your everyday life this Spring - my favorite time of the year where every little thing sparkles and turns into something beautiful!

>What I enjoyed most in the April 2007 issue are the following:
<
>
<
>(1) "Work in a lunchtime workout" - a 20-minute low-impact routine that can be completed during your lunch break and all you need is your five to eight pounds dumbbells, a pair of running or walking shoes, T-shirt and shorts or tights.
<
>
<
>(2) An article on Pomegranate Juice, which is an excellent source of antioxidants that may help keep arteries supple. It also provides the percentage of potassium that our bodies need everyday.
<
>
<
>(3) Terrific and delectable seafood recipes - Since I'm a huge fan of seafood, I'm especially interested in the featured recipes as follows:
<
>
<
>(a) Salmon en Papillote with Dill Yogurt Sauce
<
>(b) New Orleans-Style Shrimps
<
>(c) Champagne and Orange Steamed Lobster Tails en Papillote
<
>(d) Seared Scallops with Citrus Ginger Sauce
<
>(e) Soy Ginger Steamed Halibut with Veggies
<
>
<
>(4) Other recipes to try and savor: Slow-Cooked Chili Con Carne and Chicken Pot Pie.

<
>If you're not a seafood lover, there are also recipes on beef, chicken, vegetables and salads. And of course delicious treats such as Chocolate Soufflé Cakes, Black and White Angel Food Cake with Strawberry Topping, All-Star Carrot Cake, and many more.

Too much filler, not enough recipes
I picked up this magazine for the cooking tips and recipes, and imagine my surprise to see this mag has articles about 'indoor winter plant care' and 'contact lense care'.... Say what? Not to mention the scads and scads of non-cooking relating fitness stuff. They should rename this magazine "Fitness and Well-Being" rather than "Cooking Light." Personally when I purchase a cooking magazine that's what I expect fo find. There were no recipes for 120 pages!!! Misleading.
