Customer Reviews of ComfortSport Convertible Car Seat with LATCH in Safety Net.
Frustrated--another return just to buy a Britax Great! I thought I was saving $129.00 buy not buying a Britax for our second child, a 22 pound 6 month old.(Our older child, age 2 does ride in a Britax). I though the Graco would be a good choice since it is now a LATCH compatible car seat. However, since attempting to install (rear facing) it tighter on three different occasions into my 2002 Volvo wagon, I cannot get the seat in tighter. If I do, then I cannot release or tighten the harness straps very well because they are buried against the seat. I also have play in the seat. I also do not like the fact that on the Graco, only one side of the anchor strap needs to be tightened-- unlike the Britax, in which both anchor straps can be tightened. This is probably where I am getting a quarter-inch of slack with the Graco. Also, the Graco's anchors look like something that could be purchased at a hardware store. I like Britax's trigger mechanism, which is very simple to attach. My hands are chafed and a bit raw from attempting to get my hand and the anchor attachment into such a small space with the Graco. Looks to me like Graco just did enough to be compliant with the new federal standards for car seat manufacturer's. Simply, it is comparing a Chevrolet to a Mercedes-Benz. I'm off tomorrow morning to return the Graco and to purchase a Britax.
2 years and still going strong
I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr. old over 2 yrs ago. I used rear facing for 6 mos. then turned him. He still fits great but my 9 mo. old has outgrown the infant seat. So every body gets moved up. I have a Jeep grand cherokee and it has fit perfectly and the LATCH is great I have no complaints I didnt have a problem with loosening the straps because I didnt find it necessary to fiddle with them each time, I adjusted once and didnt change til my son outgrew.
GRACO has been great in our family.. Affordable and durable, We have all Graco products.
not the best but okay....
The seat fits okay into my mid-size car. One big problem we have is reaching the lever to loosen and tighten the straps, it is actually very hard and quite annoying. We also had to use a rolled up towel to help keep the seat stay in place. It seems comfortable and is reasonably priced. I gave this 4 stars even though it can be inconvenient at times, but overall for the price and comfort I would reccomend this car seat.
