Comanche 4 is a sky shooter designed to give players a taste of the thrill and excitement of going into battle as a Comanche pilot. The helicopter's versatility in reconnaissance, ground attack, and air combat roles are emphasized in the game's all-new missions. Players will get to fly with the Comanche's signature low-altitude capabilities and swoop into real-world locations, including urban settings and rural environments around the world such as tropical islands, desolate deserts, and lush, tree-laden jungles.
The game showcases stunning graphics, including realistic rotor wash effects both on the water and the ground. Comanche 4 also features a 3-D virtual cockpit and such weapons as the 20 mm cannon, 70 mm rockets, air-to-air and heat-seeking AIM-9 Stingers, and the laser-guided AGM-114 Hellfire missile. Players also have to dodge fire from ground troops wielding handheld Stingers, as well as fire from antiaircraft emplacements, jets, helicopters, and surface ships.

One of the hottest games of the 2001 Comanche 4 is one of the best games I have played this year. Now when I rate games I am very tough but this game is just amazing for many reasons.
1. some of the best graphics I have seen in a sim
2. perfect difficulty levels three is just enough.

6. excellent selection of weapons

This game is a must buy no matter if you're a hard core gamer or someone who has never played a sim like this before. To all the parents out there this is a great christmas gift.
Headspinning arcade shooter not for flight-simmers
Being a fan of Novalogic for four years and owning eight of their games I eagerly awaited C4. Hoping to experience the realism Novalogic is known for I was terribly disappointed to find Comanche 4 to be an arcade shooter. I have Comanche 3 and although the graphics are terribly dated it has much better gameplay and realism. I'm a flight-simmer and love flying. What good are jawdropping graphics if your not given time to enjoy them. All missions in Comanche 4 are time-sensitive which gives you no time to do anything but acquire targets and shoot. If you win the objectives, forget about flying around mopping up secondary targets or surveying the damage you've done because you are immediately loaded back to the menu. Forget about flying back to base, landing and feeling the accomplishment of making it back home.The only time you get to view the detail of the awesome graphics is during the opening cut scene of each mission and they aren't interactive. If you are a Ricochet Rabbit on caffeine under the age of 16 this game might be for you. If you like flying helicopters and realism then by no means buy this game. I'm so disappointed with Novalogic. This game is going back to the store.
Just Plain Great Sim
I bought this game about a year ago in a flight pack and it is the best out of the four that came in the pack.Im still having tons of fun with it.Graphics,fun,and blowing stuff up,all in one great game.A joystick will also make the game easier and more fun.
