Depends on who's hauling it.
I loved this stroller from the moment I saw it. It has great maneuverability and shocks (smooth ride). The canopy is huge and is the only one I've seen that when you have the carrier in the stroller it covers the whole compartment so there are no drafts. I like all the positions you can use it for, but honestly I've only needed to use the forward position. I have taken this stroller on countless airplane DAY trips with stopovers and I can't say how easy it was to one-handedly open and close this stroller and then RUN to the next connection or put my son to sleep in a "crib-like" environment. My husband however, hates the stroller. It won't fit in any trunk less than an SUV (we had a Saturn at the time of purchase) and is pretty heavy. Therefore we don't use it often. The infant carseat was hard to get out of the base and to get it out of the stroller was like getting it out of a locked safe, combination and all. The infant car seat was really heavy and to carry it a ways was just awful. So all in all, we bought a 2nd lighter, smaller umbrella stroller with hood and basket for $5 at the salvation army and my husband is very happy with that one and will not even use the big one.

my wife and i scoped this stroller out at Baby's R Us and really love it. frankly, i can't understand why people are complaining about what seems pretty obvious -- a travel system isn't an umbrella stroller. you need to figure out what your needs are going to be before buying such an important piece of your new life with baby.

DO NOT buy a travel system if you're looking for something that is petite and compact. travel systems are meant to be substantial and provide you with lots of knooks and cranies for you to store your stuff. it's really not for you if you plan on doing a lot of running to the mall -- buy an umbrella stroller for that. this is more for day trips and the like (though, i have to say that we use ours for going everywhere).

"pluses" include a very large mesh basket under the seat, wheels that freely rotate (many travel systems have wheels that are locked to face forward which makes getting out of tight spots or going around corners difficult), a tray for keys, pacifiers, cups, etc. and an AWESOME one-button trigger for collapsing the whole sha-bang! the tray for the car seat was also super easy to install in the car.

"minuses" are pretty obvious -- size and weight. now, my wife is not tall -- she's 5'5'' -- but she can work this stroller with little problem. mind you she's not climbing flights of stairs with it in tow (see below), but merely getting it in and out of the car which i consider normal use.

so, my one piece of advice is to make sure you visit your local baby store to see what options are out there for yourself. many umbrella strollers are lightweight and easy to use, but they all aren't recommended for newborn use so be sure to read the labels.

when all is said and done, just be sure to enjoy your baby and the walks you'll take together as a family!
