Customer Reviews of Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000
Chalk one up for Chuck Chucke Cheese's movie was a big hit with the kids after a big turkey day feast. The kids seemed to really enjoy the music and funny chase scenes. It was a great movie that kept them entertained and out of trouble.
Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000
My children and I really enjoyed this video. It's obviously not a Disney-level production, but I was impressed with the characters and the computer generated action. The songs were cute and the jokes were pretty good, my five-year-old was laughing out loud at some of it.
Of course, my children are pretty excited about anything related to Chuck E. Cheese, but in our house, the key measure of a good video is how many times the kids will watch it. They wanted to watch Galaxy 5000 over and over.
Yuck-E Cheese Loses The Race
Don't get me wrong, folks...I was an avid fan of Chuck E Cheese and the gang for a long time. So I was excited to hear about their first direct-to-video aventure. I purchased the video for my own memories... The animatronic costume heads were very well done, and addedliveliness and energy to the video. (as opposed to waggling the heads around in poor "lip sync").I give it two stars for the costumes. And then it gets worse. The plot (?) was nonexsitent, and was as full of holes as a block of Swiss cheese.Chuck E and the gang seem to be out for themselves, demonstrated when Helen Henny disappears and nobody even mentions it! Further, there is a hammer-handed vegetarian message with an angst-filled chicken bemoaning humans eating chickens and eggs. And the "Zoom Gas" (what the bad guys use) is a drug reference--but there's NO mention of an anti-drug message to be found! (Did I mention that the bad guys use CHICKENS to make the stuff?) So, animal experimenting drug-sniffers rule while anthropomorphic animals drool? I don't get it. I know this was a children's video, but it relies too heavily on the "face value" of Chuck E Cheese and his pals. I would NOT show this to children. Sad to say, they'd be better off with Barney.Chuck E, fire your production staff and get some REAL writers!
