People don't be fulled, This CD is a must have
Ok, all these people praise christina for her amazing voice, and god it's true but I disagree with people who say her material is poor. This CD proves christina as not only a "teen pop act" it is filled with R&B flares and inspiring ballads. Past the catchy lyrics of the fun energy high grooves "genie in a bottle", "what a girl wants" and "come on over", lie ispiring songs such as "blessed" a tender smooth ballad that resembles a young mariah type ballad. If critics can look past the task of fully analizing every lyric just sit back and drift away to the sound of "love for all seasons" one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard, I'm sure they'd love the album. R&B flares are most evident in "when you put your hands on me" "so emotional" and "somebody's somebody". Now If you still think christina is just another britney, head to track 3, the dianne warren pennned ballad that pushes christina's vocal range to jawdropping heights. Trust me with this album you'll have fun, feel "so emotional" and whe you're done listening to it you'll feel like you went through the mind of a very gifted very talented young singer, one that is the formidable "christina aguilera" BTW: don't think because I'm 14 I don't know what I'm taking about, I've listened to many of today's hottest albums and I can honestley tell you this CD is a must!

I Love It!
Christina Aguilera is definitely one of the best Pop Divas around. She's got a very strong and solid voice and most of the songs on this album are excellent, too. I liked every track except for the last one, "Obvious", which is a not-so-good ballad. Here's the complete list of tracks:

1.) "Genie In A Bottle" ~ Christina's first #1 hit single. A great party and dance song. It's got an awesome beat and cool lyrics. Her voice is excellent on this track.

2.) "What A Girl Wants" ~ Awesome song. This is another uptempo and fast-beat song. The lyrics are smooth and solid and so is her voice. Great song. (Second Single)

3.) "I Turn To You" ~ One of Christina's better love ballads. Diane Warren wrote this one, and if I'm not mistaken, this is the exact same song that group All For One performed on the SPACE JAM soundtrack. But the version Christina sings is much better. Her voice is very powerful and strong, and so are the lyrics. (Third Single)

4.) "So Emotional" ~ Pretty good. I liked the lyrics and her voice but this is not one of her best songs. Still, a really good song to listen to and easy to sing along.

5.) "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" ~ The Remix is So Much Better. I like this song a lot. It's one of my favorites. It's a great uptempo and fast-beat song. Christina's vocals are strong and the lyrics are solid. Great R/B Job! (Fourth Single)

6.) "Reflection" ~ This is the song Christina sang for the Disney movie, "Mulan".It's a beautiful and very moving ballad. I love this song. I love the lyrics and her voice sounds so soulful on this song.

7.) "Love For All Seasons" ~ I enjoyed this song. It's very good with a good uptempo beat and awesome lyrics. Christina's voice is pretty good, too. Great song.

8.) "Somebody's Somebody" ~ Another one of my personal favorites. I actually have a lot of personal favorites on this album, because this album is just so full of excellent pop songs. Her voice is strong and the lyrics are wonderful.

9.) "When You Put Your Hands On Me" ~ I know, I know. Many people may think this song is a little "sexy", but hey! Isn't Christina like, an adult? So can't she sing about whatever she wants? I personally think this is one of her best tracks and her voice is just beautiful.

10.) "Blessed" ~ I love this ballad. It's beautiful and moving with emotional lyrics and her voice sounds smooth and pure. An excellent track.

11.) "Love Will Find A Way" ~ This is another excellent uptempo, fast-beat song.It's a great one to dance to and the lyrics are solid along with Christina's voice. Wonderful.

12.) "Obvious" ~ Like I said before. This is the only bad song on this album. I don't like it that much and I usually skip over it.

"CHRISTINA AGUILERA" is definitely the best debut album I've heard from a "Pop Princess" in years. It is definitely worth every single penny and Christina Aguilera will be around a lot longer than Mandy Moore or Jessica Simpson. Christina has definitely got the voice and all the right moves. And if you can't get enough Christina, then also check out her Christmas album and her Latin album...she's even more awesome when she sings in Latin! I definitely recommend this. If you like Mandy Moore, Hoku, Whitney Houston, or Mariah Carey, then you must get "CHRISTINA AGUILERA" by Christina Aguilera.

She sounded soulful on here
It amazes me how good she sounded when she recorded this record. The only complaint is that genie in a bottle was a little to poppy for me but the rest of the cd sounds like a young r&b cd. Who gives a damn if she doesn't have a lot of fast songs on the cd, everyone doesn't do the same thing on all cds. Be happy with what she has given you. If it still bothers you, go buy the import with the club remixes of her singles, the cheapest one was like 20 dollars, not too much more than this one.
