Customer Reviews of Chicago Enforcer for Xbox

Work for Al Capone
In CHICAGO ENFORCER you play the role of Jimmy "Machine Gun" DeMora, a hit man in 1920s Chicago who works for the big man himself, Al Capone. When the game begins, you have limited weapons, but as you progress you pick up more items, but some of them can only be bought using the money you find and earn during the game. There are about ten different parts to the game with some parts consisting of two or three segments. The last level in the game has Jimmy having to escort Capone out of the hotel he is staying in. <

>The graphics on the game aren't that great and some of the weapons are rather limited in their scope and range. The challenges aren't really that difficult, though it did take me a several times on several levels to figure out how I could move on. For example, after destroying a warehouse you think you can sneak past the cops, but you can't and normally you don't want to shoot at cops because they can kill your character in three shots or less. However, in that level you have to kill each of the cops before moving on. <

>The load time on the game is incredibly slow and the game only saves after you finish an objective or mission. Nevertheless, I found the game to be fun and I enjoyed being a hit man for Capone. This game will frustrate and bore first rate gamers. However, beginner and average gamers who don't get frustrated by the slow load time might find the game enjoyable. I know I did.

Average for the $20 games
This game is probably one of the best games out of the chepos that come out for $20 the story is pretty good the weapons and gameplay are ok <
>the anamition and levels/graphics are not that great the weapon firing is nothing special and weapon inventory is decent <
>I played this game for a few hours and played it a couple of different times <
>Some times it can be a little addicting wanting to play it but it ended up sitting on my shelf then getting traded in <
>If you are in to slow paced action games this is for you but if your not like moste everyone else this game is not for you

Fun game. I like!
I finally come up from the underground passage ways onto the city streets. I just escaped from my prison cell, and none too soon, considering my boss, Al Capone, is rather paranoid and may be afraid I'll squeal on him. I have to make my way back to the safe house, but there are rival gangsters and cops looking for me, and all I have is the lead pipe I broke off of my toilet back in my cell. I have to find a gun. I start to walk up the street and see a gangster walk out from in front of a building. I can see he is armed with some kind of rifle, but he doesn't see me because his back is to me. He stops walking, slings his rife over his shoulder, and lights a smoke. I creep up behind him and smash his head with my pipe, the blood splattering on my hands and pipe. I pick up his rifle, a sniper rifle, and make my way to the safe house, popping any crooked cops I see along my way there. <

>This is one of the senarios you'll encounter in this fun budget FPS "Chicago Enforcer". The game is a port from a pc game that came out a year or two ago called Mob Enforcer. I've never played Mob Enforcer, but from what I've read, it is a direct port. I really enjoyed this short but sweet game. Very short, as I beat it in a day. You play a gangster, Jimmy "Machine Gun" Demora, working for Al Capone in Prohibition era Chicago. You will carry out gang related missions such as hit's, bombing a factory, and smashing up stores that are paying protection money to rival gangsters. A lot of the game takes place on the streets of Chicago, but don't expect it to be crowded, as only a handful of civilians will be wondering around, and no traffic. Oh, and don't shoot the civilians, you'll instantly lose the mission. I've heard complaints about not being able to kill civilians. Complainers say it makes no sense to not be able to kill them. But it makes perfect sense. I'm not an expert, but I do know a tiny bit about mafia stuff, and from what I've read, they did not go around just killing random people, it was frowned upon. Now I'm sure some did, but it wasn't a general practice gangsters carried out. <

>Anyway, back to the game. The graphics are good, but not fantastic. I liked the graphics and felt they did a good job of putting me into 1930's Chicago. I liked the way the NPC's and the enemies looked in the game. They fit the time period perfectly. There is very little voice acting, but from what there is, is actually very good. And the little bit of dialogue there is is very good too. <

>There are nine weapons in the game. Lead pipe (kill somebody with this and their blood stains your gloved hands and stains the pipe), 45 pistol, shotgun, tommy gun (oh yeah),automatic rifle (super sweet, powerful weapon), hunting rifle(sniper), molotov cocktail, ice pick, rocket(bazooka type weapon). To get some weapons in the game you have to find the cash bonuses hidden around each level. I never got to use the ice pick, or the rocket, because I didn't find all of the cash bonuses, but I did get to use the rest of the weapons and they were very good. <

>The game is split up into five episodes, with two chapters each episode, with a total of ten chapters in the game. The game was hard for me in the normal mode. To me it seems that their weapons did a bit too much damage to you, and later on in the game I switched the difficulty to easy, and that helped a lot, while still providing a challenge. I got tired of dying and having to restart at the last save checkpoint all the time. I'm a decent game player and have beaten many an FPS on normal difficulty, but this game seemed to me very difficult on the normal mode because of the damage done by enemies weapons. Thugs would just rush up from behind you a lot, and pump you full of lead so watch your back. The AI wasn't too strong but it wasn't dumb either. Most of the time the enemy will rush you, from all sides, but sometimes they will take cover. A memerable scene took place in a hotel hallway where me and another gangster were shooting at each other with our tommy guns, ducking inside doorways. I eventually one out and plugged him. <

>The game is Live Enabled and has multiplayer but I haven't played that so I do not know how good it is.The types of matches are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Cash, and Turf War. Overall I was very pleased with this game and felt my twenty bucks was well spent. Now I am kinda biased as I like gangster related stuff, especailly in that time period, so I already liked the game for that starting off. <

>Remember this is a budget title, not a full blown, full budget multi year production like Halo or Doom 3. It would be unfair to compare this game to those type of games. So take it for what it is and enjoy. I know I did. :)
