Customer Reviews of Cheaper By the Dozen 2
THE DOZEN DOES IT AGAIN! One of my favorite film, Cheaper By The Dozen's sequal was suprisingly better than than the first one. Because usually the first movie is a little better. But I loved it. <
>It's about the bakers deciding to take a trip to Tom's(Steve Martin)cabin. All the 12 children go. Meanwhile, the oldest daughter(Piper Perablo)is pregnant, and could have her baby anytime. The town where the cabin is located is more sufisticated than playful. But the younger children of course cause havoc. But they meet Tom's cousin or some relative(Eugine Levey) and his wife(Carmen Electra) and all there kids. Now his kides are more proper and better behaved, but that's only when there in front of there dad. So the fathers try to battle it out to see who has the better family. So the whole family competes. Who wins? You gotta see the movie! <
>Now, if you liked the first one, I GUARANTEE you will like this one. It's really funny and has a good storyline. If your a person who loves family movies, this is the one to watch. <

i liked this better than # 1
As you can see in my title, I definitely thought this was better than the first, for a few reasons. In the first one, they were having troubles with moving, feeling part of the family, parent's jobs and so on and so forth, whereas in #2, there are a lot more issues with the family all together, such as, the kids are getting older, Nora is pregnant, they want to be treated more like adults, and really more about the family staying a family and not just scattering everywhere and forgetting everything they've been through. There were a lot more great actors, plus another large family rivalry which wasn't really a family rivalry, but a father to father rivalry, which was hysterical because the kids don't really want to be rivals!

>I suggest this movie to any families, small or large, I can almost certainly assure you you'll like it. As to everyone else, I can't make a promise but to say that it's a real masterpiece. I envy these screen-writers!
not a bad family movie, but still pretty bad
The only time I can imagine anyone ever wanting to watch this movie is if they have kids that they want to watch a movie with and don't want the kids to be exposed to any swearing, sex or violence. Cheaper by the Dozen 2 is a tame family movie with tame jokes, predictable plot and is overall an uninspired movie. Still, your kids will probably enjoy it and you will have a tolerable time watching it with them.

>The plot is simple, Steve Martin's family (I can't even remember their name) goes to the lake for Labor Day and meets up with childhood rival Murtaugh played by Eugene Levy. Levy's also has a big family and the entire movie consists of a rivalry between Martin and Levy. There are snippets of scenes between the kids, who all seem to like each other.

>Now for some quick comments on various parts of the movie: All of the kids have gotten a few years older and less cute. Some of them are lucky to be in the movie at all. Hilary Duff looks like a skelaton with skin. She looks gaunt and kind of creepy. Tom Welling deserves to be in much better movies that his. He is too good of an actor. I cringe everytime it is brought up that Steve Martin is athletic, or a football coach. He plays neither convincingly.
