Customer Reviews of Charlotte's Web 2 - Wilbur's Great Adventure
Charlotte's web 2: Wilbur's worst adventure! This can't be better than the original, no matter what other people think...The characters from the old movie changed looks and personalities. <
>Wilbur: The kind-of serieous but loveable pig turned into a poop-eating freak with blush. <
>Joy, Ariania, and Nellie: Those cute runts became bossy and stupid things that look more like daddy-long-legs. <
>Fern: The smart, brave girl that saved Wilbur from getting shot, became this weirdo that sings to food. <
>WHAT'S BETTER...OLD OR NEW???!!!!!! U DECIDE!
Totoro
This a tape I had before only in english. I did not know it was in Japenesse. I was very disappointed.
Never Kill a Runt
<
>"Charlotte's Web" is a great children's fantasy book and movie. "Charlotte's Web" is about a bundle of pigs that were just born, one of them, being a runt. Mr. Arable wanted to kill it but his daughter Fern thinks it is cruel, so her father lets her keep it. Fern thinks it is adorable and names it Wilbur. After a while, Wilbur starts to grow and grow, he soon grows big enough that Mr. Arable tells Fern she has to give him away. Homer Zuckerman, Fern's uncle, takes it in, hoping to kill it someday for delicious bacon and ham. At the barn Wilbur is lonely until he meets a spider that lives above him, named Charlotte. They become great friends. Fern never stops coming to the barn; she makes friends with all of the animals including Charlotte, and thinks she is brilliant. Wilbur continues to grow at the farm, so big that one day Homer Zuckerman notices it and says what great bacon and ham he will make. Wilbur couldn't believe his ears; he asked Charlotte and she said it was true.

>Wilbur was devastated; he did not want to die. Charlotte was a very good friend of Wilbur's, and she did not want him to die either. Night and day, Charlotte thought of ideas to make sure Wilbur wouldn't be turned into crispy bacon. One day she thought of a plan. Her idea was to write words on her web saying what a great pig Wilbur is. If it got a lot of attention, Mr. Zuckerman would want to bring the pig to the fair, so maybe it could win a prize. All of the barn animals helped, even Templeton, the rat, which lived under Wilbur's trough. He helped by getting words from the dump for Charlotte to put on her web. Her plan was a great success; people came from near and far to see the words on the web, (The words were "Some Pig", "Terrific", "Radiant", and "Humble")

>Mr. Zuckerman decided to take Wilbur to the fair. When Wilbur found out he was jumping for joy, and really was radiant! Read the book to find out if Wilbur will stay alive and win a prize!

>There are several similarities between the book of Charlotte's Web, and the movie. The plot of the story is definitely the same throughout the movie and the book. That is, Wilbur needs friends, and doesn't want to die. The characters in the movie were actually animated and weren't real people, but the voices sounded just like I thought they would have. Charlotte's voice in the movie was so quiet, calm, and peaceful and that's just the character she plays in the story. So, I thought the characters spoke true to their parts in the movie. Another similarity I saw was that in the introduction of the book it is springtime, and in the movie it is also springtime, when Wilbur was born. I think they did that part very well because you can't just say it is spring; that is boring. What they did to make it stay the same but also very good, was they put on a relaxing melody that Fern sings while showing everything Fern and Wilbur do together in Spring. Those were the similarities I saw between the movie and the book.

>In every book made into a movie, there are always a few differences. One difference I saw was that towards the beginning of the movie, Fern and Wilbur took a stroll to Henry Fussy's house where Wilbur ran all around and made a catastrophe. It made it funny and fun, whereas the book didn't have that. Another difference I saw was in the movie on the farm, one of the seven goslings that were born was also a runt and named Jeffrey, and he turned into one of Wilbur's best friends. Jeffrey also tried to act like a pig, and go with Wilbur to the fair. This wasn't in the book, but it made the movie really cute and special because of the two runts that became close friends. Those are a couple of the differences I saw in the movie and the book.

>People always say that the written story is much better than the movie, but not "Charlotte's Web". Even though it is a kid's movie and book, it is still really exiting, especially if you enjoy animals. It's also a good movie with the friendships they have in it. Like, with Wilbur and Jeffrey both being runts and being different, but it brings them close together. The movie and book is also very good, because Fern grows older and her personality changes, which somewhat changes Wilbur and is troubling for him. The movie and book are well worth seeing and reading.
