Customer Reviews of Changing Lanes
One Person, One Action, Can Make a Difference This movie takes you on a phsychological journey through the lives of two fairly ordinary but totally different men. It shows what an impact we all can make on each other. It dramatizes the delicate line we all walk between a good, smooth life and a life of chaos. One choice at a time.
Stress & Ethics
Do we worsen our situation when we try to escape BY ANY MEANS our stressful condition? Do two wrongs make a right? Do we redirect our aggression on bystanders when we are angry? This and many other questions will be explored by this psychological thriller.

>I withheld a star for two main reasons:

<
>1) It briefly invokes religion (churches and priests), suggesting that there could be some moral absolutes in it. Far from it, don't look at moral absolutes in religion. Besides extreme divisiveness and tensions between various faiths and denomination, even the well revered 10 commandants were meant to be applicable only to Jewish tribes rather than entire humanity. ("against your neighbor" in the tenth commandments was applicable according to ancient Hebrew grammar to every single commandment, and since neighbors were relatives in the tribe, it was ok to kill and steal from strangers but not from genetic "neighbors" )

>For an ethical behavior religion is neither sufficient nor necessary. Rather many of us evolved with rudimentary ethical sense, and we also internalize additional ethical rules from experience as we realize that cheating cannot be done all the time to all the people and eventually we or our children will be caught and punished by society. Society, especially a democracy, would not tolerate unethical behavior even from powerful and rich as the recent downfall of the corrupt CEOs shows.

>2) The happy end is a bit cliche.
Changing Lanes tells a good story.
Depending on whether or not you like Ben Affleck and Samuel Jackson, this movie unfolded into the relationships of two men angry at one another and the frustration that followed them throughout the movie. I thought it was a good movie myself with good performances all about.
