It shrinks so don't EVER wash it... but I'm buying it again. I know it may sound weird, but even though I gave this item 3 stars, I am buying it again. I received the sage for my son as a baby shower gift. One day changing his diaper, a stream of you know what went over the changing table and all over this hamper. We washed it in cold and put the dryer on the air cycle, yet it shrunk a good 3 inches on each side - I've had to rig it to work with my sewing skills yet it looks awkward. <
