No problems at all We got this mobile to match the rest of the nursery items for our first child. She is 18 months old and still uses it every night. It has never broken, never come loose, or any of the other problems mentioned in other reviews. I think maybe the music could last a little longer, but it's volume is perfect.
A broken arm
I bought this mobile for the same reason most people buy them, because it matched the crib bedding. It did look very cute however, the arm broke after only a few months. I would say it is good, if you aren't planning on using it much.
Soothing and engaging!
My 2 month old son finds this mobile highly engaging. It is very easy to install and the bears spin around when they hit the arm (a delight to little eyes). The music is soothing and at an appropriate volume. My only complaint is that it is somewhat difficult to crank. My husband turned the music box around to make the crank more accessible. Also, the music does not seem to last long enough to let me do something productive around the house. Once I crank the music box again, however, my son is happy to watch the bears go another round!
