Work well, but a little small. These blankets work well to clean up spit-up, etc. However, they are too small for swaddling. I tried to use them to swaddle my son, but he would come unraveled very quickly!

I bought these blankets myself to replace the Waverly ones that I'd put on my registry. I should have registered for these in the first place. They're cute and functional. They wash well and don't shrink. Their large size makes them great for swaddling and they work well for floor time play blankets as well. They also pack easily and... so you know, the print, which doesn't appear clearly in any pictures, is a farm pattern with various animals and tractors.
The best
I think these are the best receiving blankets because they are big, which makes them the best for swaddling. They are also very soft and wash up very well (they don't shrink and they seem to be getting softer with each wash). I have the Gerber brand and they're not as big or as soft. I also have a few of the stretchy thermal type, which are OK (but to me, not that great for swaddling because they come undone) and which might be better for general use in the summer.
