Customer Reviews of Capri Stroller - Red Tech
Excellent for the money I bought this stroller because we were traveling from NC to AL to visit my brother at Maxwell AFB. Three adults and an infant on a road trip, we didn't have the room for our Graco or Jeep strollers. I wanted to get something priced relatively well but insisted on a cover for my fair skinned child. I am very pleased with the purchase. It is so compact that we had no trouble storing it in the trunk with the rest of our luggage..and I even keep it in the trunk of my car now so that I have it on hand should I need it. The cover was sufficient to keep the sun off of her without being bulky and in the way. It is lightweight so that it can be easily carried up stairs with one hand (without the child in it, of course) but is still sturdy enough that I had no problems pushing it all over the air force base. Another beautiful thing about this stroller is that the cover does not have to remain in place but can easily be pulled completely back and tucked out of the way when in stores or when my daughter does want to enjoy the sun. On the one down side, I do agree with some of the other consumers that I bump my feet at times on the wheels (I'm 5'9") but, geez, for the price, why stress it?
This chicco not for this chicca
I bought this stroller on an impulse buy at BRU because I went to the store to buy the Inglesina Swift and found out that it is only available online. Because this stroller was listed as a 'top seller' I decided to try it out. I'm not too impressed with it. The main reasons are because it does not recline far enough back and the canopy does not block any wind/sun from behind. The wheels are plastic, which to me seems like too much use and they could wear easily. It's not very easy to steer with one hand. The product is short, good for me (5'0") but not good for the 6'2" hubby. This stroller is going to be my everyday, everywhere stroller so I would rather spend the extra $50 to get the things I need. The carrying srap and bag is a nice convenience, which the Inglesina Swift offers neither, but they both weigh in at a light weight of 11lbs and I did see that you can purchase a carry bag for the Inglesina. Returning this Chicco and going for the Swift.
Not best for a toddler
I bought this stroller when my child turned 1. It was fine, but I agree with those who complain about the useless canopy. Within 6 months, the seat support has started ripping (my daughter likes to push her feet against the plastic strap footrest, which may have facilitated the rips). I'm going to have to get another umbrella stroller.
