Customer Reviews of Capital Combat
Possibly the lamest moment in NWA/WCW history on this tape. The NWA/WCW was far and away the better product to the WWF/E in the 80's and early 90's. Instead of having men dressed up as clowns or wrestlers who were also doctors and such, the NWA/WCW focused more on realistic story lines which led to some fantastic and bloody matches. But every now and then they would do something stupid. Capital Combat 90 is one of those times. Now many would suggest that the lamest moment ever in WCW was in 93 when the whole Shock Master incident happened. And even though that is bad, nothing can compare in my opinion to what WCW called "The Return of Robocop". Yes, I said Robocop. They actually had The Robocop character appear on the pay per view to protect Sting from the hands of 4 Horsemen. I don't know what was worse, the Horsemen pretending to be afraid of a fictional character or the fact that Jim Ross who is truly a company man put it over with the same intensity as a Flair/Steamboat match up. But with all that said I totally endorse anyone who likes to purchase wrestling tapes to pick this up and see it for yourself.
It is truly classic stuff.
