That said, one CSI will enjoy a bit of a personal life this season--Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), who'll begin seeing nightclub owner Chris Bezich (Nicholas Lea, Krycek from The X-Files) in "Early Rollout." The other CSIs, particularly the re-energized Grissom, will remain as married to their jobs as ever--although the latter's unspoken interest in Sara will be tested in "Butterflied."
Other episodes of note include "Feeling the Heat," with Stacy Edwards and Arye Gross, "Jackpot," with Henry Czerny and Re-Animator's Jeffrey Combs, and the instantly infamous "Fur and Loathing," which was written by Jerry Stahl (Permanent Midnight) and centers on the death of a "furry." As Grissom explains to Willows, "furries" are a "tribe of people who prefer to interact as furry animals." Stahl also penned "Getting Off," about the death of a clown, and continues to come up with some of this still-groundbreaking series' most colorful scenarios. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Customer Reviews of C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation - The Complete Fourth Season
Dry, technical, too many corpses First of all: CSI is one of my favourite shows. But there are several "buts"... <
>Although I gave it 4 stars, I must say that the creators lost somewhat the balance between the human element and gruesome details. And I got the impression they didn't know what to do with characters (relationship-wise). <
>Personally, I haven't found really memorable stories in there like the one about the plane in the 1st season. On the whole, CSI LV became similar to CSI Miami - colder, techier, with wrong emphasis here and there. <
>Characters seem to be somehow disjointed, and they no longer have that nice chemistry of former seasons. They are more cartoonish, with no real character development. <
>On the other hand, I'm still hooked up on the series, I do understand that they cannot be evenly outstanding all the time, that everything has its ups and downs. <
>It's still a good show.
C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation
Ignore the spinoffs and immerse yourself in the best crime drama on DVD, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION. Not one to conform to usual TV laws of diminishing returns, CSI has kept its quality and realism intact, while providing a sold night's veiwing. Outshining shows like Criminal Intent and NYCS, this has been one omy favourites and still remains as sharp and potent as it was when originally aired. Especially impressive since this has the possibility to become a very repetitive show, but thankfully the writers have kept it real without sacrificing any sense of entertainment. Keep it up, the characters (Especially Grissom) are always compelling, the stories are fresh and the music rocks. This is essential Television on the silver disc.
WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR COLLECTORS WITHOUT THE MEANS
ALL THE CSI SEASON'S ARE VERY GOOD, BUT THE PRICE OF THESE GEMS ARE WAY BEYOND MY BUDGET FOR DVD'S.
