A very good baby book
This baby book has a lot going for it. It is a binder, so pages can easily be added, removed or shuffled. It covers every important detail that a mom would want to document. This is especially nice for moms like me, who are not that creative and need guidance when putting memories together in a fun and informative way. The pages have lots of room to add your own photos, stickers or comments and there are extra blank pages for you to use and insert within the premade pages. This book is appropriate for a boy or a girl, so it would make a great shower gift regardless of the sex of the baby. <

>There are a few ways that I think this book could be improved. With the binder format, it can be difficult to write on the back side of the pages so I take them out of the binder to write. A firm plastic insert that could be placed under the pages while writing would make it easier (like the plastic on your checkbook cover that you can slide between checks). Also, this book has place to attach things such as the hospital bracelets. I'm not sure how to best attach them. Tape will eventually get discolored and sticky on the sides and glue won't hold. A little clear plastic pocket on the page would be a great way to handle this. Lastly, I think it would be neat to have some stickers included that moms could use to make the book more expressive, personal and fun.

Great to have
I purchased this record book for my 4 1/2 year old. I had the regular tight bound books and after having THREE of them fall completely apart on me I had just given up on memory books in general. So, for the past 2 years I have been keeping my son's baby keepsakes in a regular box. I only began to explore memory books again when I found out I was expecting another child. I was delighted to find this memory book, which was perfect for my older child and for the baby on the way! I love the neutral colors and the fact that this book can hold more and won't be falling apart on me like the regular tight bound books. I love this design so much that I purchased not only the memory book, but the photo album and first year calendar as well. I wish I had found a looseleaf baby record book back when I was expecting my first child. But, I have one now and I love it! I have recommended this memory book to all my friends who are expecting, and I would highly recommend this book to you too!
Oh, and one more little bit of advice, you can go to the C.R. Gibson website and find other designs that Babies R Us doesn't carry. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
