"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is over but the magazine lives on
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" has been off the air for a year now, but I know I am not alone in subscribing to the official magazine for the late lamented series. This magazine keeps me updated on what new action figures from the show are being produced, provides a round-up of what the stars have been up to outside the "Buffy"-verse, and what DVD collections are coming out (not just complete seasons but also a "Best of" series focusing on key characters). There are interviews with people from both sides of the camera on "BtVS," lists to debate (e.g., "The 50 Greatest 'Buffy' Moments"), and dozens of color photographs. In fact, in this particular magazine there are sometimes too many photographs, which, to be honest, I think is a ploy to make fans buy three copies of each issue: one to keep and read, and two so that you can cut out photographs from both sides of the pages.

Each issue tends to focus on a particular theme (e.g., top romances, villains, finales) and/or character (e.g., Spike, Xander, Anya), and you will always find at least one poster in the middle of each issue to take out and adorn your wall. Besides, the official "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan club has the best 8 x 10 photographs of the cast members you are going to find. Granted, this magazine was a lot better when the series was still on the air, because there were always inside stories about upcoming episodes and lots of things to look forward too. Now we are just looking backwards. But editor Darryl Curtis and his staff at Titan Magazines take the show and its fan seriously. What you find in here reflects the same sort of high standards we have come to expect from Joss Whedon's television shows, which is all that is really important in the end to funs of "BtVS."

Buffy is a wonderful magizine for kids, and adults alike,as well as the shows (angel/buffy). she is a normal girl, with a not so normal life, but she manages to get through some of the most toughest times. In the real world our problems dont deal with demons, or gods, yet in all they are just the same with our world we live in and our inner demons.

This is definetly a great Buffy and Angel mag. It was great when Buffy was on and now it will be greater with Angel. It icludes news, interviews, and so much more. If you are not subscribed you should.
