Brother All in one machines with Error 41
I had purchased two different models of Brother all-in-one machines. One of them is MFC3220C and the other one was also MFC model and I forgot the model number. The machines I purchased had issue with "Machine Error 41" error. This error is displayed when the print head is bad or clogged up. On the internet, many other buyers of these machines were complaining and frustrated with this error code. I called Brother support and they had sent me a remanufactured machine as a replacement. The machine they sent also has the same issue and it lasted only 5 months. <
>I don't know if MFC-4420c has the same issue. But please call up Brother support and ask or search on the internet before buying it. After experiencing the same issue on two different models, I decided not to waste my money on any of the Brother all-in-one inkjet machines. <

Error 41 Help
I just ordered my FOURTH replacement from Brother. My original purchase was Sep 2003. After #2 and near the end of the 1yr warrantee, I purchased the extended warrantee which served me well for the $70 (or so) it cost me. Brother assured me that this replacement will have the new-improved printhead. I may renew the extended replacement coverage just in case. I realy like the machine and want to keep it. ERR41: I unplug it, wait, plug it in again and keep using it like this till the replacement arrives.

Piece of JUNK! Fatal error exactly 2 months after warranty.
I bought this printer for a friend. It was refurbished, but it still had a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. The printer worked flawlessly for the most part within the warranty timeframe. Some two months ago it began complaining that some of the inks were low, even if they were full or new. Just weeks after the ink problems, the machine displays on its LCD "MACHINE ERROR 41... CALL BROTHER". Having come on this website by accident while researching this error, I am surprised at the amount of people with the same problem. Now I am convinced this is all made intentionally, no way something completely stops working immediately after the warranty. Repair costs are simply not worth it at $150 to $200 dollars. The most ingeniously evil plot about this error is that, in essence it blocks the whole machine from being used. Can't print, scan, fax, copy - nothing. The only thing you can do is throw it into the trash if you don't want to dish out cash to fix it. Absolutely evil machine, along with its creators. Never Brother again, they clearly encase rigged errors to poop the device after the warranty. Next I will go with Canon, maybe HP if the price is right. But HP tends overprice their printers way too much, and for the longest time they did not even offer borderless printing like Canon did for a much lower price with their machines.
