Customer Reviews of Britten: Complete Orchestral Song Cycles
Wonderful Serenade, now on Naxos Naxos acquired these recordings and has reissued them on separate Cds at q budget price. For some reason I can't locate on amazon the best one, which contains Phillip Langridge's superlative performance of the great Serenade for Horn, Tenor, and Strings. If youare a fan of this work, I jsut want to say that this is the greatest reading on all ocunts--tenor, horn soloist and conducting--since the one with Pears and Britten himself on Decca from the Sixties.
