My wife Dayna and I were visiting with Judy and her husband Michael at their home in Lawrence in the summer of 2003. As we visited with them, Judy was surprised to find I still had not had a chance to read her book "Born to be Blessed", so she autographed a copy of it, and gave it to us. I noticed that where Judy had signed her name on the title page of the book, her signature ended in the shape of a heart. She often signs her name that way. Her readiness to love is instinctive.

And in "Born To Be Blessed" Judy shows us how we all are created with that instinctive readiness to Love.

I have read through this book entirely, along with her other fine work "Peace To All Beings" Veggie Soup for the Chicken's Soul".

In "Born To Be Blessed", which is her first book, Judy shows us how much each one of us is divinely loved and deserving of being loved and blessed with love and so many other creative gifts. You are created to be blessed and loved in ways you do not even know.

If you are familiar with a beautiful old prayer titled "The Desiderata", think of that prayer - magnified.

I wept when I read this book, as if God or the Universe itself were inviting me to cry on His or It's shoulder, wrapping me up in a warm blanket of true unconditional Love.

Unconditional Love is the very core of "Born To Be Blessed". We are here, Judy shows us, to learn unconditional Love from each other. And we are here to give it and also to receive it. She shows us how perfect love overcomes fear. Judy has a rare and precious gift of making whoever she is talking to feel as if they are the most important person in the world to her at that moment.

Having been given the fine blessing of working with Judy on behalf of animals ["To work in the service of Life and The Living" as John Denver sang in his beautiful song "Calypso"], I can tell you that she is a person who LIVES what she writes.

"Whatever creates more Love is real" she once said to me.
