Overrated for Nursing
I bought this pillow for nursing. As another reviewer mentioned, I had a terrible time with it sliding off my lap, constantly having to readjust it, etc. I felt like I had to hold on to the pillow and the baby for dear life or the baby wasn't safe on it. It is so overstuffed (i.e. firmly rounded) that anytime my baby rolled away from me at all, he would have flipped right off onto the floor, if not for me having my free arm wrapped around him and the pillow to hold it on my lap. It really made nursing an ordeal (a regular bed pillow was better). Some other issues that I encountered are that the polyester fibers work their way through the fabric and wind up on my baby's clothes, hands and feet (a slip cover may eliminate that problem). The Boppy does not provide a lot of surface area for babies who like to stretch out or are wriggly like mine. He was very long when he was born and outgrew the pillow very quickly. I kept the Boppy anyway because it works great as a back support (combined with my two regular bed pillows)while nursing in bed. I have also used it between my knees when sleeping on my side. The shape isn't great for that, but if you can get it in the right position it is quite comfy for that purpose. As mentioned by numerous others, it is a great support for babies learning to sit. It does have it's benefits, but for nursing, I don't recommend it. I bought the Natural Boost Adjustable Nursing Pillow as a replacement, and my baby and I are both much happier. It does have it's problems as well, but it works much better for nursing than the Boppy. If nursing is your main objective for buying this pillow, I would look at other alternatives. I gave it three stars because I like it for other uses. Just for nursing, I would give it one star.

Don't buy it for nursing...consider alternatives
I bought this pillow for nursing my baby, and what a waste! I returned it. Why? As I was trying to nurse my son, the pillow would just slide down my waist (which is NOT small) providing none of the intended support. It was awkward, it didn't seem to fit any particular way. I went to see a lactation specialist and she recommended... don't laugh at the name too much... MY [...] FRIEND. It goes around any size waist, it adjustable, has head rest lumps for baby if using the cross cradle position or football hold, and best of all it has an adjustable belt that fits as snugly as you want around the waist. It keeps the pillow in place. I relied on this pillow so much that I never was able to nurse without it the 5.5 months that I nursed my son. It made it THAT comfortable. They say that the boppy has other uses, but please! I can get more out of a rolled up towel!

Recommended for every parent
I didn't get this really cute, bright Boppy pillow until my daughter was already five months old. How I wish I'd had it during those early days of breastfeeding! The Boppy is great for Gabriela now because she lounges in it and watches her Baby Einstein DVD's, and she also uses it on the floor for extra support while she plays with her toys. I wish I'd gotten it when she was a little younger because really, it is so versatile, you can use it for tummy time, nursing, bottle-feeding... ANYTHING. Another thing about the Boppy pillow: It's so easy to throw it in the trunk and take it to the park or a friend's house or anywhere else. It's also cheap enough to buy an extra one to keep at a grandparent's house. The Honey Bees design is bright and really cute for a girl or a boy.
