Customer Reviews of Dawn Volume 2: Return Of The Goddess (Dawn)
Fantastic Graphic Novel... Ok I will admit that I picked up Dawn because of the girl on the cover while browsing the fantasy shelves at the bookstore one day. To paraphrase Jessica Rabbit - "She's not bad, she's just drawn that way..." Anyhow, I read the synopsis of the plot - a witch has to commit suicide to escape her captors, and in her last breath summons Dawn, the Goddess of witches - who by the way is not to be trifled with! The tale of Dawns rampage and revenge is very dark and disturbing, reminiscent of Frank Millers Sin City plotlines... Here Dawn must face off against Lucifer himself in an amazing battle. <
>Oh, and it doesn't hurt that the paintings in the art panels are fantastic. This guy can draw! <

>Anyhow, there is more to this book than the large breasted red-head on the cover, [but that never hurts a book!]and I would suggest picking up a copy if you are interested in paganism or would just enjoy a dark tale of retribution. <

Fantastic myth starring comic's hottest: Dawn
This guy can paint, there's no question about that. Although all his heroes more or less look like an idealized self, the art is simply breathtaking. Some say it's close to kitsch - taste differs, is all I can say to that. The dark storyline, eternal fights between good and evil with angels and devils visiting earth surely isn't something for the average comic-fan. But if you're looking for something different and like to stare at welldrawn babes, Linsner is for you.
