Customer Reviews of Blues Guitar, Step One
Disappointing I found part one somewhat valuable/ part two was worthless. I need the tablature or better closeups of the neck.
Furthermore, when he's talking about "triads" and other music talk, he could just as well be speaking Greek.
This series doesn't fully utilize the power of video, IMHO.
I found the Song Xpress video series to be far more helpful, and more visual. I just wish they would produce some new ones, especially on the blues.
Great Teacher
I have been playing guitar for 35+ years and find this to be an outstanding teaching and motivating program. Along with my guitar picking kids and grandkids, I will be reviewing this tape on a regular basis. Keith Wyatt is an outstanding guitar teacher and demonstrates not only technique, he makes the "sound" of the blues something to strive for. I highly recommend this for folks who have a pretty good understanding and skill of playing basic guitar. Buy Step one and two together, you will not regret it.
I am a beginner
Keith is a brilliant guitarist and an exceptional instructor, but i could really use some tab on the call and response portion of the soloing segment, i know that defeats the intent of call and response but hell throw me a bone here, i've been playing for 6 months and after 3 weeks of rewinding the tape i have only picked up 4 of the licks, if you are a beginner you will learn alot and have alot of work cut out for you, if you are an intermediate you will be able to pick up some valuable techniques, it is worth the money!
