yes bliss
ý was going out when 'bliss' arrived from amazon.fr and when ý heard in my hurry 'l'eau et le vin' it wasn't any suprise to me but a sudden smile on my face : this one - 'commando' - 'when ý say' - 'pourtant' and 'dans mon café' : very vanessa and very good music/arrangements and there're more beautiful songs like 'que fait la vie' - 'les acrobates' and 'st germain' but ý must admit that ý have a problem with 'l'air du temps' ý skip it every time 'firmaman' and 'bliss' are too holly and too strong this album explains why vanessa paradis waited 8 years before she got into to the recording studio and apparently she'll do more than this ý think there's also something very remarkable: she sings not only so nicely -with her small but unique voice-but so different in every song at the end 'bliss' isn't much like an album but like a man or a women in any age in any place with good feelings of heart/talent/character and work ý can't afford to say to everyone 'go buy it' but if you do first of all listen again and again 'l'eau et le vin'

She Does It-Again!
Wow, Vanessa. That is all i can say. Vanessa Paradis is an amazing singer. She doesn't have a strong voice, but the way she uses her voice, and the songs she chooses, make her equal to someone like Celine Dion. If you have some of her other CDs, dont buy this one thinking "This is going to be another great Vanessa cd" (like I did). Its incredible, but not another Vanessa CD. Its so different it has a class of its own. Absolutley amazing. "L'eau et le Vin" is so. . . cool! (There is no other word to use) It's makes you want to get up and belly dance. I have never heard anything even remotley like this from Vanessa before. "Commando". Wow. This song obviously had to be the big single on the CD. I could hear the song over and over again all day. The rest of the ablum has a slow kind of calmness to it. "Ballade de Lily Rose" is my hero. When my friend's baby couldn't stop crying and wouldn't drink her bottle, you know what I did? I put this song on repeat, and her baby went right down to sleep. It has to be the most beautiful song ever sung. I was also suprised that 3 of the 13 songs were in english. Just like the rest of the ablum, these songs enchanted me. It also amazes me how Vanessa appeals to all different kinds of people, french speaking or not. From ages 7 months to 70-something years, they all love it! Alot of these songs were written for or about her baby, Lily-Rose, and were co-written by Vanessa's partner and father of her children, Johnny Depp. You wont be dissappointed. There are no words to say how much I enjoy hearing this ablum. It is worth whatever you pay for it.
P.S. Don't buy this as your first Vanessa ablum! You won't appreciate it as much! Start out with "M&J" or "Vanessa Paradis".

beautiful album, beautiful girl.
I've listened to this album many times, and there are no bad songs on it. I especially love la ballade de lily rose, st.germain, when i say, and les acrobattes. (i dont speak french, so excuse my spelling hehe) I found out about her through her husband Johnny depp, so i thought i should download a song and see whats she's like. I downloaded When I Say, and i fell in love with her music. I bought the album a few weeks later. What a power couple. She is so talented and has such a sweet voice, and she doesn't rely on someone else to write all her songs. She has to be one of the best singer/songwriters of all time.
