The mill grinds up to one pound of grain per minute. In addition to the more common grains such as wheat, oats, rice, rye, and buckwheat, the mill works on dried pinto and green beans, popcorn kernels, soybeans, chickpeas, dried sweet corn, and more (the user's guide includes a list). The mill is not intended for use on coffee beans, nuts, seeds (including sunflower, poppy, and sesame), or spices, as their oil or moisture content is high and may cause gumming. An included cyclone cup attaches to the underside of the mill to help separate the flour from the air passing through the mill. The base of the mill measures 8 by 10 by 4-1/2 inches, while the pan measures 8 by 10 by 7 inches. The pan inverts over the mill for compact storage. Blendtec covers the mill's motor and workmanship with a 6-year warranty, the milling chamber and milling pan with a lifetime warranty. --Ann Bieri

Customer Reviews of Blendtec 52-601-FLP Kitchen Mill, White
Gets the job done Mill effectively grinds food, fairly quickly, is basic and easy to set up and take apart. <

>However, materials are such that it cracks or breaks easily, as evidenced by the fact that the motor housing was broken when it arrived -- alright if you don't move much, but doesn't fit our lifestyle. The mill is very noisy. The mill tends to be very messy to clean up once you are done with a grinding job -- there is no easy way to contain the dust. We opted for the Nutrimill and are much happier even though it is more expensive -- it is quieter, compact, better materials, and not nearly as messy (but a little more complex to set up at first).
Nice mill, just a little loud
This mill provides great mill speed combined with a fine grind, adjustable to a medium coarse grind. It is not suitable for cracked wheat grinding, only for flours.
Great Machine
I have been using this mill for 5 years and expect to be using it in 20 more years. I bake 1 loaf of bread twice a week with flour I grind at the same time. The bread is simply the best we have ever found and fresh. The machine is very, very loud but it gets through enough flour for a loaf of bread in 2 minutes, no big deal. Others are more quiet but this excels in quality and ease of use.
