Customer Reviews of Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
Excellent <
>If you love WWII planes this is your game, playing this with the wii and mostly only with the nunchuk is real fun and controls are very intuitive you can unlock several different planes and missions are hard and very different one from the other so you might be flying under several different circumstances. If you like plane games this is it, can`t wait for blazing angels 2 to be available for wii. <

A fun game that's underrated
This game is a lot better than some are giving it credit for. Some folks may initially have problems with the controls, but it's just a matter of finding the configuration that's right for you. The game comes with *ten* different control configurations, so you should be able to find at least one that works for you. It's definitely not a flying sim by any means, but still a lot of fun if you like WWII flying games. Reminds me a lot of the PC game "Secret Weapons Over Normandy". I did find some levels to be annyoingly difficult (Rabaul and Top Secret, for instance), but they can all be beat by an average player. In all, I had a lot of fun playing through the game, then going back and earning an "ace" rating on almost all the levels.
Play for the fun of it
I am not really a big video game buff which makes sort of an amateur at gaming but I still managed to progress through most of the game. The controllers are illogical and the graphics aren't anything to write home about. This combination made the obstacle course-type stage through the glacier a nightmare for me. But it's still a fun game and entertained me for a couple of weeks I waited (and am still waiting) for better Wii games. My favorite aspect of the game is flying through European cities like London, Paris and Berlin. It might only be worth a rental to some folks or something to pick up used at the game shop.
