The Auto Wrench is not meant to replace specialty tools like pipe or torque wrenches, but the jaws open wide enough (up to 1-1/4-inch) so that it could conceivably replace a range of manual wrenches sitting in your toolkit. A typical situation where the Auto Wrench would help might be one in which you’re awkwardly reaching for a nut underneath the kitchen faucet. We were a bit skeptical when we learned the Auto Wrench takes AA batteries and doesn’t include a rechargeable battery. Black & Decker says you can get 650 cycles out of two AA batteries, which should be plenty for most people.

Black & decker 8" auto wrench Pretty good tool,however as a contractor my tools don't lead a easy life. I have been using this tool for several months and it has been adequate at best. It is not sturdy enough to put up with the abuse some of my other tools have survived. I feel it is more geared to a home repair situation than a professional type tool. I can only give it a limited recommendation, but it is a neat tool to have in your tool box.
Tight spots
A great wrench for tight spots where you need all eight inches of leverage !
More of a toy than a tool
I think it's very overpriced and really not worth much. Might as well use a manual wrench for $5 vs paying $40.
