Logos Series X Software I found the series X version of this software something of a downgrade from the original version. While it has more reference works it is a level of 10 harder to use and I find the constant sales pitches and religious dogma a real turn-off.
Unreliable and lots of hidden costs
Lots of hours on the phone with tech support to get this software to run. I have never had a software company supply a faulty authorization code before but these guys did. Next thing was I noticed my bible searches were not FINDING ANYTHING. If I searched for the word "Samson" I got zilch. I spent more hours with tech support and they sent me a patch that got it working. Apparently the problem was the rare operating system that I use called "Microsoft Windows XP".

>The help file is modal. This means you can't have the help file open and switch to the program. You have to close the help file then go back to the program. The help file does not support bookmarks, so you have to find your place again if you forgot something. Turns out the helpfull people at Logos have a real help file for an extra fifteen bucks. That's right, the help file is an extra cost option. The windows user interface guidlines are not taken too seriously by Logos so you won't find "toolbars" for instance, where you would expect. This helps to sell that optional help file. Parallel bible passages are an extra cost option but you do get a commentary published in the 1870's. I should have bought Zonderman.
