Customer Reviews of Bently Literider
Affordable Stroller That's Easy To Operate! I have to start by saying that I am one of those people that spends hours researching & reviewing everything that I buy. I chose this stroller after hours & hours of research. My husband & I went to BRU & spent an hour test-driving strollers. We looked for a stroller that accepted the Graco infant seat, was easy to open & close & wasn't too heavy.
We debated 4 models: Metrolite LE in Colby $129.99, Metrolite LE Plaid $99.99, Saratoga LiteRider Stroller $79.99 and this wonderful LiteRider Stroller in Bently Bear $69.99. I'm usually of the mindset that more expensive is better so I was surprised when we chose the least expensive of the four. The Metrolite strollers were lighter than the other two, but they were a bit more difficult to fold in my opinion.
We narrowed our search down to the Metrolite Colby $129.99 vs. the LiteRider Bentley Bear $69.99. The reason we deleted the other 2 models was because you could not access the basket to retrieve your diaper bag when the baby was in the stroller with the seat reclined. I can't imagine having to take the baby out of the stroller every time I want to access my diaper bag. The Metrolite Colby had fancier wheels and an a few more features, but it was difficult to justify the price difference. The Colby also was difficult to fold since the wheels were larger & had to be in a certain direction to fold properly. I can foresee this being a difficult thing to do with baby in one hand & stroller in the other. Therefore we chose this wonderful LiteRider Bently Bear stroller!
Here are the pros:
1) Basket can be lowered & loaded with baby in the stroller!
2) Easy one-hand fold.
3) Removable child's tray.
4) 5-point & 3-point harness.
5) Viewing window in canopy.
6) Easy to steer.
7) Accepts Graco infant seat.
8) Lightweight.
9) Stroller handle height can be adjusted.
10) Parent Organizer tray with 2 cup holders.
I've been using this stroller for the past 2 months. So far, I love it! It's very easy to open and close and "drives" very smoothly. I was worried about getting it in and out of my somewhat small VW Jetta trunk. It fits perfectly with a little room to spare.
I highly recommend this affordable stroller!
Great stroller
This is an awesome stroller. I purchased it about a week ago in place of the Peg Perego I had. It has all the features I was looking for, and the rubber tires are great for rugged trails. I live in the mountains and use a stroller several times a day. My 5 month old loves it. My old stroller had no cup handles, a small basket, and was really heavy. This stroller was so affordable for the features it has, and it fits his Graco infant seat. The only thing I wish it had was more reclining positions. Although it did say on the box that it had only 2 reclining positions. Overall, I would really recommend this stroller to all new moms out there looking for a stroller that has it all. And reading other reviews, I don't think Graco is cheaply made at all. Don't waste your money on the more expensive strollers when you can get this one. They also sell the matching infant seat to this stroller seperately, and it's less expensive than a travel system.
good for the price
I agree that many of the features of this stroller are nice--duo parent cup-holders, large basket. For the price, I think it's a decent stroller that does the job. The main things I don't like are that it's fairly bulky in the trunk of our car, and that it is very difficult to manouvre in small spaces. Narrow doorways are a problem, and so is shopping in clothing stores. Sometimes, if I back up and the wheels swivel around, they get sort of stuck, and it's hard to push the stroller forward. Also, the instructions for putting on the back wheels aren't all that clear. One back wheel fell off the first time we used the stroller, and the second one fell off a few weeks later. Graco did send us a new part to attach the wheel that is metal instead of plastic, and we haven't had any problems since. I'd recommend calling and asking them for that to start with if you do order this stroller.
