Customer Reviews of Beach Bum Bootleg
Like being in Key West even if your stuck in Ohio If this Cd didn't have anything else on it but the ten minute opening song "Lobsters From Outer Space", with the most hilarious intro where Bill explains the difference between men and women the next morning after getting drunk, it would be worth the money. Next he sings "Me and You and You", a song about how you guys are always trying to get us girls and our girlfriend in bed together with you. And now you've been peeing yourself laughing for fifteen straight minutes. "Emerson Avenue" that follows those two songs on the Cd doesn't sound like Jimmy Buffett, but it gives you a feeling like the best Jimmy songs do and makes you want to go out and grab life while your still here. My husband's favorite song, like I guess most guys would like, is what Bill describes as his "one redneck drinking song" called "I'd Help Her Pack Her Bags If I Weren't Too Drunk". It IS really funny even if it is definitely a GUY song. Thats one of the the things thats great about him though, because then he'll sing "36 Years of Kentucky" from the point of view of a divorced woman who finally gets fed up with her life and takes off for Key West. My other favorite is "It's Not Your Town Anymore", where he talks about the rich people and hotels ruining Key West. My husband and I see this happening more every year we go down there.
This is definitely a great Cd and a Cd you want to put on when you feel like partying in Key West but can't be there.
