Customer Reviews of Battlestar Galactica - Season Three
I really wanted to love this season (But the first two are still the best entertainment in general that has ever been) It started off with such incredible potietneal. But it makes so much sence if you watch it, the budget was blown in the first 3 of 22 episodes. However the first four episodes were a gargantuan WOW!!! 6 of 5 stars for those episodes! So much so they almost carried the rest of the season for me. <

>But even as a Rabid Fan boy I have to admit, overall this was a poor season for the standard this show has set (witch is VERY high.)
A bad turn...
When the remake of Battlestar Galactica was announced (as a kid, I was a fanatic of the original series) I was thrilled. When I saw the pilot episode, I got delighted. The first two seasons were just fine. The right mix of adventure, action, politics, ethics, personal and social relations, and everything you can imagine was well balanced. And the Cylons... the horror of looking like us (remember Carpenter's "The Thing"?) was an exciting new element. And they had a plan...
<
>Or so it seemed until season 3... Probably they run out of budget. Battles are kept to a minimum, action is absent, and common sense long departed. The Cylons from sinister opponents (who had a plan) seem to need a shrink to analyze their psychological problems, and whole episodes are wasted in "to be or not to be situations" (see any good French movies lately?)
<
>During the final two episodes we have an inexplicable personality transformation of Apollo who, for mysterious reasons, decides to behave completely inconsistently with his usual character and does all kinds of illogical things, without meaning, purpose, or common sense. The director was probably on drugs.
<
>Another episode, the one they beat each other in a ring, I couldn't even finish watching it. More Sci-Fi and less shoap-opera wouldn't hurt the response of viewers to the show.
<
>There are about 7 episodes worth warching in the entire season. If you like "The Bold and the Beautiful" season 3 is for you. For funs of the series, or/and funs of old Galactica, please write a letter of protest to the producers, before they ruin the next season as well with their incompetence.

Best Frakkin' Show on TV
BSG is the best Frakkin' show on TV. Every Sunday night, I am glued to my TV. When the phone rings, I don't answer. If someone is knocking, I don't answer. The storylines are superb, the acting is top-notch and the special effects blow you away. How anyone isn't watching this show in beyond me. I own season 1 and plan on purchasing seasons 2 & 3. This is a must in any collection. Edward James Olmos, Mary Mcdonnell, James Callis, Kate Sackhoff and Jamie Bamber all deserve Emmy's for their outstanding performances. Forget the Sopranos (so over), give this show it's due. The writing team, the directing team, best in the business. I can't wait for season 4 and hear it will be the last. Unfortunately, SciFi isn't showing reruns of Season 3.
