Customer Reviews of Barnyard - Wallborder
Love the pattern, BUT HARD TO PUT UP I got this border as a gift to go with the barnyard bedding we also registered for. While the border is cute, and is a WONDERFUL addition to our nursery, it was very difficult to put up. We followed the directions to a "t", but for some reason, the top edge was not sticking. It looked like there was no glue on this part of the border. So, we figured out a trick...wet the border, and put on the wall where you want it. Wait for about 10 minutes and start pushing the glue FROM THE BOTTOM. With glue at the top (glopping out of the top), wait for another 10 minutes or so. THEN push out the rest of the glue. We still needed to work the top edge with a damp cloth for a good while, but it did eventually stick.
So, while the border is cute, be ready to spend an entire afternoon putting it up.
I need 2more feet &instructions
Does anyone have any extra wall border? I am about 2 feet short and would rather not buy another full roll. Please feel free to email me directly sonnylandscape@prodigy.net
Also someone needed instructions here they are:
The instructions say to soak the desired length of border in luke warm water for 10 seconds, I did 15 seconds because someone suggested to do so. It worked fairly well. Wipe with towel or damp sponge to get air bubbles out and extra paste.
Not as hard as I thought
First time wallpaper experience... not as hard as I thought it would be. Used a level to draw a straight line on the wall. First wall - soaked for 10 seconds as stated in directions. The edges didn't want to stick to the wall. Next three walls - soaked for 30 seconds in a bucket of warm water. Accordian-folded paper glue side to glue side, without creasing, then let sit for 10 minutes before putting on the wall. It took two of us; one holding the paper, the other placing it on the wall making sure to cover over the line drawn on the wall. This worked flawlessly. Paper stuck to wall... edges and all! Very happy with results.
