Customer Reviews of Barbie Digital Makeover
Barbie Digital Makeover This is my favorite Barbie game I have! You can put your picture in the game and then give yourself new hairdoes and makeup! You can also make new makeup! The only bad things are it's really are to get your picture to look normal. Sometimes it gives you one eye on your cheek or two chins. And you don't have very many hairdoes to pick from. You can't do ponytails, braids, or straight hair with bangs. (And that's what my air looks like.) You also can't change your skin or eye color.
I think it would be fun to put my cat's picture in it and put makeup on him!
Surprisingly good program
I bought this product to do a review, and I was pleasantly surprised. The cursor problem can be quickly fixed by calling the support number, and once you reference the instruction book (which doubles as the cd cover), everything is pretty self explanatory. I do not support the previous review--the mixing screen allows you to develop ANY kind of makeup shades you want. With an hour or two of playing with it, it worked quite smoothly. However, because the buttons are pictures and there are no words on the program, be sure to reference the instructions. Have fun!
DISAPPOINTED!
My 12-year old expected more flexibility in makeover possibilities. Installation was easy enough, but the "graphic-only" menu was difficult to interpret. Color choices are limited to the provided pallette, facial and hair designs are similarly restricted, and digital images are awkward to import, and more complicated to size and position properly for the makeover. (Perhaps having the Barbie digital camera would streamline the process.) The instruction book is of little or no value. Interest in the product lasted about 2 hours, and the software was quickly back in the box under the printer. Another lesson learned.
