Customer Reviews of Bambi II
Hmm... I LOVED this movie but I wish that there was Bambi 3 but there is not.I loved Thumper because he was soooooo cute so was Bambi. But Flower was not,She was a Jerk.I want Bambi to be for babies.Love Skunk Hater.
Disney's Best Direct To Video yet.....
With animation that closely follows the style of the original Bambi, great voice talent, a script that does not depend upon gratuitous pop culture references and a score and songs that are tight and non-trendy, Bambi II lives up to the expectations that Walt's first vision gave us.

>This is the most satisfying, best animated and presented follow-up film Disney studios has given the public to date. I hesitate to call this a sequel to the original film as the events in Bambi II take place immediately after Bambi loses his mother and centers around his father, the Great Prince of the Forest, taking responsibility for raising his son *Patrick Stewart's vocal performance is a true delight*.

>It is time we were all reminded of just how remarkable Disney Studios is and what they can produce if they put their minds to it. Well done!!

>When I saw Bambi 2 in the stores, I began to ready myself for another trashy sequel. I thought it would once again degrade a Classic Cartoon that would have been better left alone. But all I got was dull teeth, because I watched the original and decided that Bambi 2 is perhaps more appealing to older and more mature audiences than the first.

>The first was strictly for young kids, and it had a lot of dainty songs and music and funny characters. The sequel is perhaps less childish and it focuses a lot on Bambi's Father. It should have been called Bambi 1/2 come to think of it.

>The story picked up where Bambi's mother died and when his Father saw to his care. It was a good idea, original and very exciting and appealing. The character's reflected the older one's perfectly. Only Bambi now has squares instead of spots. O_o! And his voice is played by an actual little boy instead of some adult Female! Yahoo! And he doesn't sound or act like a rebellious spoiled brat (because something happens the OFFEND him) anywhere in the film from what I could notice. It really is a breath of fresh air for modern characters.

>Thumper doesn't do his thumping a lot through the movie, but his voice and attitude is barely different from the older movie and he is still an adorable bunny who has to recite in very calm and dignified ways the lessons of his Father.

>Fauline, Bambi's friend, is tons more enjoyable than the crazy idiotic laughing her head off machine in the first. It really is a lot better. Flower hasn't changed in the least, and he still retains his shy attitude.

>Owl and Bambi's Father are played off perfectly. The Prince is not quite as terrifying as he was in the first (Not because he was a monster, but because he was so dominative.) but he still does a great job in making a bold strong character of a leader.

>The animation is very similar to the older techniques used in the first. And the backgrounds and woods are very old fashioned concepts, showing off the true artistic means by which the older ones made their place in Classic Cartoons. It was not all perfect, and at the same time was done very well. You don't find Disney going back to this sort of thing very often, but apparently someone had the brains to recognize their warrant and include them.

>If you're edgy about getting this because you're afraid of it butchering the Classic, don't worry. It does nothing to destroy the first, and for once in years does proper justice to its charm, story and characters. I would strongly encourage getting this movie.
