Customer Reviews of Baltimucho!
Good enough to listen to (over and over...) I really hadn't noticed how much I liked this album until I realized it had been in my car CD player for almost a week straight (and I commute 30 minutes each way, so I probably heard the album 11 times in a row). The thing is, there's nothing spectacular about it. It's just 15 good, quality, catchy pop-rock songs that don't get old quickly.
I would recommend this to fans of Myracle Brah (obviously) as well as fans of Fountains of Wayne, Owsley, weezer, Cotton Mather or any other guitar pop groups out there.
You'll probably have to get it used, so get it while you can.
A very underrated CD.
Lets face it if you heard this CD you know its dripping with Beatlsque tunes with an edge, it almost sounds like they were sitting around and listning to the Beatles, Badfinger, Julian Lennon mixed with a FM Rock station from 1970s, and after just got up and started recording right on the spot from the influence. Yes they're harder and louder which only adds to the songs instead of taking away from it, A world apart from their first one.Which has more of a Punk/Rock sound to it. This CD should have got some kind of airplay, instead it was released and SEVERELY over looked.Do your self a favor and listen to the samples, it only tells you half the story of this tasty CD.Highlights of this CD, "If you Go Away", "Foolish Games" and "Falling Down" sounds like Badfinger. The first 2 sound like songs left from their first CD, but the rest is Beatlsque, Lennonsque with a sprinkle of (take your pick) Pop/Rock groups from the 60s/70s.
Most Overrated Baltimore Group
Love Nut's debut wasn't bad, though the production was more than a little flat. If you combined it's best tracks with the four or five good ones on Baltimucho, you would have a pretty stellar album. Sorry, I'm not a member of the cult of Andy Bopp.
