Customer Reviews of Bad Religion - Along the Way
uhmmmmm... i have to admit that i'm totally new to the music DVD market, i own just one music VHS (the "feeling lucky punk" free deal epitaph made a while ago) so i don't really know what should i have expected, but i'm quite disappointed by this: the content itself is out of question here: bad religion are bad religion and they simply rock. the problem here is with the video: the image quality is quite low, it's clearly from some kind of cheap equipment (yes, i know you can't bring a 10.000$ video camera at a punk show ;)) but the video has a lot of interlacing problems, you can see it whenever something moves. and the editing has some problems too: they took the images of different shows for every song and patched them together, it may look nicer than sticking to a single venue for every song, but the audio goes clearly out of sync at every change.
the mood and the atmosphere is all there, you can almost smell that nice mixture of sweat and cheap alchool punk concerts usually have and at <14$ this is definetevely not a rip, but i would have expected something more professionally done, this really looks like the work of a very enthusiastic amateur.

Marcello
oh, one last thing, it is really hylarious to see how people at the show looked in 1989.
Bad Religion at its best
This is a great show featuring a great song set. The audio is very good and the action of the show is intense. Definitely for a Bad Religion fan. The only reason for not giving the 5 stars is because the DVD does not offer any extras or bonus material. The navigation menu is shi*ty. It would have been cool to have extras like, bios, pics, unreleased footage, etc.
Anyhow, this DVD is best quality pure punk rock. If you are a hardcore BR fan, get it now!
Much better than the Riot DVD...
This DVD is a lot better than the Riot DVD, a lot better.
My only little quibble is this: during a song, there are numerous cuts from different shows. I just wish you could experience one show or, at the very least, several songs from one show, then cut to another show for another series of songs. It's just a little funny, and distracting, to see the clothes change from cut to cut.
The play list is great. The audio is fine. Overall, the DVD is fun to listen to and you get a good feel for the kind of show that Bad Religion puts on for its fans.
Without question, Bad Religion is one of the best and more intelligent punk bands that has existed. I can't give the DVD a 5 star rating, just because of the way the songs were edited.
