Whip up a tasty mix of blueberries, bananas, and frozen yogurt with the Back to Basics Smoothie Plus, an all-purpose blender that specializes in smoothies but also handles blended cocktails, batters, soups, and sauces. The powerful 600-watt motor mixes both wet and dry ingredients with equal aplomb, and the unit includes a dispenser valve that efficiently pumps out the product. In addition, the device comes with a stir stick, handle, and blender cap, along with a bonus strawberry daiquiri mix and smoothie pop maker. The stir stick helps break up air pockets within the mix, while the container itself focuses ice and ingredients into the center of the blender. The Smoothie Plus comes in white with a blue trim, and holds up to 52 ounces of liquid. --Rivers Janssen

Customer Reviews of Back to Basics SP600 Smoothie Plus, White
Ok as a novelty item, but stick with a regular blender I bought this blender because it was supposed to be designed to make smoothies and iced drinks and that was all I wanted it for. It did blend fairly well and the spout is convenient when you're making drinks...BUT it broke down within a few months of occasional use and it was an extra hassle to clean. The liquid started leaking out of the bottom, and I haven't bothered to fix it because I have an excellent 12 speed Hamilton Beach blender with mini food processor attachment. That blender blends as well or better and it's dish washer safe. The big difference is that Hamilton Beach has hung on for a few years so far with no problems.
