Customer Reviews of Avery Cardoza 100 Slots 2000
Great fun and entertaining Graphics are very clear and colorful. Quite a lot of different slot games to play several hours if you wish. The progressive slots however takes a long time to hit any payouts but the 3 Zodiac games are excellent and I play them most of the time.I wish they have them in the casino slot world.
Could be better
At first I was attracted by the variety, having owned hoyle, masque, and monopoly, slots. I'll have to admit the book made it worth while at first, and I do agree that there is more style than substance. The game plays OK, but save your money, unless you are a Cardoza fan, and look for the PhantomEFX Real Deal slots and Video Poker, perhaps the best on the market.
A good slot game program would be endorsed in Casino Player, or Strictly Slots magazine and this one wasn't. There are probably worse ones there, but there are for sure better ones. The real downside for me was that the game did not install to full-screen without changing my settings, and that is somewhat of a hassle getting them back.
In all fairness, the game is fun to play, but I found the 4-reel games almost impossible to hit. Sound and graphics are first rate.
Lots of Variety But More Gimmicks Than Muscle
Speed of play is extremely slow, even on Windows 98 with lots of RAM and plenty big hard drive.
These slots seem to be set up primarily for visual displays and do a good job for this, but the total lack of the ability to speed up the action is frustrating. Cardoza needs to incorporate a mechanism to increase the speed of the spinning reels (preferably within the control of the player).
I consider this problem serious enough to forego any further purchases of Cardoza products.
