Customer Reviews of Armonia di Flauti
True Artistry The Flanders Quartet is nothing short of brilliant. The music on this CD is dominated by Rennaissance and Baroque music, with a little bit of 20th century stuff thrown in. It is beautifully played, with a gorgeous limpid sound and wonderful atmopherics in the recording. This is the Cd that introduced me to the world of the recorder ensemble and has made we want to write music for this conbination. The Hirose piece is a revelation! It is beautiful...sounds like an improvisation. Highly recommended to anyone.
Fantastic
I realize that fantastic is a strong word, but the Flanders Quartet have in this recording out-done themselves. Even if you're a professional player, as I am, you'll be astounded at the ease with which these remarkable players bound around the entire range of the horn. If you're simply a lover of classical music looking for something nice to play in your car, you'll be very proud of yourself that you've dicovered something so delightful for not only your commute, but for any time that you want to feel joy, grace and unbridled energy.
Technique is the name of the game on this recording, and this Quartet plays the game masterfully. A must-have for the recorder player's collection; a wonderful addition to anyone's library.
(This recording will, I quite sure, be available very soon as a domestic release)
