Customer Reviews of Aria LB Stroller in Chesapeake
Overall a good stroller for getting around, but pricey... This is the second stroller I've bought so far. I have the Graco Quattro Tour Travel System Stroller which I love except for the fact that it weighs 22 lbs alone and occupies more than half my trunk. I refer to that stroller as "the cadillac" and we use it for trips to the park or for walking around the neighborhood. But I am always on the go and I soon tired of lifting that heavy stroller in and out of the car. So after looking around, I first bought a Maclaren which I quickly returned. Features that I thought were not important to me actually were. Maclaren has no child tray (crucial for Cheerios), no parent tray (crucial for coffee), and a very small basket (crucial for shopping). So I exchanged it for the Aria. I actually have last year's model instead of the Aria LB shown. The only difference is this year's model has a built in cup holder (instead of a parent tray on last year's) and a larger basket. And since last year's model happened to be in the clearance aisle to make way for the newer model, I took it without hesitation!
In any case, if all you need is a stroller to run your errands or go to the mall with, this stroller is good for that! The BIGGEST PLUS is that it only weighs 9 lbs!! That was huge considering my original stroller was 22 lbs. True, the lighter the stroller, the less sturdy it feels. But overall I like it. We refer to it as "the hyundai." I think the flaws that I do find in it are somewhat minor: 1)I would much rather adjust the back of the seat with a pull up lever instead of pulling straps. 2)The back of the seat never goes as far forward as my child likes to sit(nothing that a folded blanket doesn't fix). 3)the harness straps are a little annoying. Although I like the 5 pt harness, I find that there is alot of space between the crotch and the belt that goes in between the legs. With other strollers I've seen, the belt is at the crotch. With this stroller, it seems like the belt is actually between her lower thighs. This causes her to slide forward in the seat. Annoying but I can live with it. 4) The shade is too small. It barely blocks out anything. 5) The price. Being a lighter stroller means less material , right? Yet this is one of the more expensive ones out there. Doesn't make sense to me, but at least I got it on clearance. I'm not sure I would have been so quick to buy if I had to pay the full price.
