Customer Reviews of Aria LB Stroller in Black Sable
Nice, but... I have 3 children under the age of four and own 5 strollers (2 double and 3 single). When purchasing my first couple of strollers (Century and Baby Trend Jogger) low price was my first priority- what did I know?! I learned the hard way to spend a little extra for a good quality product. (...). Thus encouraged that high end manufacturers really DO deliver superior products, I was prepared to lay out some more money to get a new single stroller. As happy as I have been with the Twin Traveller, I wanted another Maclaren but was able to get a good deal on the Aria (...).
For one glorious month I loved this stroller: looks great, lightweight, SO easy to fold and unfold, and pushes like a dream. At the airport I wore my baby in a sling while pushing my luggage in the stroller with one hand- so awesome (my baby will NOT tolerate the stroller for more than 5 min, but not Aria's fault as he hates ALL strollers so far). Honeymoon ended when wear and tear took its toll on the flimsy plastic construction. First snack tray wouldn't set in right- a minor inconvenience- then the front right wheels started bouncing off the ground when driving- then I noticed the stroller was lopsided! What the hey?? True the Aria weathered a trip in the luggage compartment of airplane, but I RAN OVER my Maclaren and there is not a scratch! I expected better durability from Peg Perego. Would give 2.5 stars, since great stroller while it lasted but I cannot recommend it to anyone that is not going to treat it with kid gloves :)
It is definitely light!
While my son is not born yet, we already went and bought this stroller. Mine is this version--the Aria LB (2004 one) in black sable. I tested a million strollers. I was already partial to Peg Perego but the cost was a concern. Above all I chose this one because it is as light as it promises. Just under 10 lbs, it is extremely maneuverable, compact, and easy to collapse when needed. It's easy to work the back of the seat for your child (I cannot believe how hard it is on some strollers). This year's Arias have a much larger basket beneath the stroller--a nice plus. I needed a light stroller that had one bar handle (not the two handles like on the Pliko) so I chose the Aria LB. The handle bars are not adjustable nor reversible--so if you or your spouse is tall this could be a frustration. Also there is no large parent tray across the handle like there often is on Graco models--just a cup holder on the side. This did not matter to me, but it may to some. The stroller is goodlooking, very light, and easily turned with one hand even with considerable weight. It's a great improvement on last year's model! (which I might add I've only found for an extra $20 off--not enough of an incentive for me to buy last year's model!) And as usual, all the usual quality and safety features found on Peg Peregos are all here.
Great stroller!
I really like this stroller. It is very lightweight and turns great. I got rid of my evenflo stroller when my daughter was 6 months and bought this one instead. I have no complaints. It handles great. I love the handle on the side. I can hold my daughter and get this stroller out of the trunk with my other hand. The storage area underneath is a little small, but I knew that when I bought it. There are so many positives with this stroller that they outweighed the smaller basket. I also really like the easy to use piece in the back that adjusts the seat recline. It never wakes up my daughter when I lower it!
