If you are looking for a return to old time radio suspense without all the static and commercials, this is it. Your imagination will be spell bound as this audio unfolds. The sharpness of effects creates fertile images for the mind to see.
Mr. Davis, producer has given us an opportunity to revisit yester-year with modern compact disk technology. This medium and historically based fiction is also ideal for educational groups, Civil War buffs/groups and even local theater production.
Thanks for the innovation...

Dixie Drama Rises Again in Imagination
Antietam:The Lost Command by Lee Davis and cast at Sound Mind Theatre is everything you want in a strong audio drama. It has well drawn characters, everything from a female Confederate spy named Rebel Rose, an Australian of doubtful ethics involved in the conflict between the states,a drummer boy, an incompetent Yankee general, but best of it all it contains those twists of plot that you won't likely anticipate as unlikely characters attempt to influence the outcome of the battle at Antietam. What's refreshing is to hear authentic Southern accents, not the generic ones Hollywood employs and to experience Confederate sympathizers as sympathetic characters, not fools. You're still free to disagree with them. Excellent acting, beautiful music and sound effects all add up to a damn fine, and unique production. Sound Mind Theatre seems to have identified the legions of Civil War buffs, historians and long memoried residents of Dixie as its intended audience. They won't be disappointed nor will the general listener who just wants to hear a rollicking, good production in Antietam: The Lost Command.
