Customer Reviews of Ampology: The Bass of Techmaster P.E.B.
A span of 13 years on this disc. This is a good collection from is entire body of work. The best thing about this CD is that it has cuts you can't find anywhere else. You see, Techmaster's first few albums are out of print (thats a shame). And the only way one seems to find his old music is through here. There are some tracks of off Outer Bass II, some new stuff, and of course, songs of of Bass Computer (the biggest achievement in the genre of Bass music).
The old songs bring back teenhood memories (ahhh...great times). The new songs are Techmaster doing what he does best...bass. This album is worth buying for the fact it contains hard to find music from albums that are out of print. For that reason alone, this album is a gem.
As a loyal follower of Techmaster since 1991, I must speak about one other issue: He finally speaks. I've owned every single one of Techmaster's albums at one point or another (cept Suburban X), and he's never spoken. The liner notes are mimimumal at best, the credits and ads for Newtown records. That's it.
Finally, after 13 years of listening to his music with little to no knowledge of the actual artist, he finally breaks his silence and speaks for the first time in the liner notes.
About time.
I can't say enough about, but perhaps I have one gripe. I think this compliation is missing one track, a song called Voices. Aside from that, this album is as good as it gets.
