Customer Reviews of American Wedding (Widescreen Extended Unrated Party Edition)
Hey Finch, what's the capitol of Thailand? Bangkok!!! <

>Jim proposes to Michelle, in a manner in which only he can, and she accepts. Now their families are looking forward to finally meeting each other. Jim's friends, Kevin and Finch, agree to help Jim give Michelle the wedding of her dreams. They do their best to keep Stifler from finding out, but he does, and his focus becomes the bachelor party and boom booming with the brides' maids. However, Jim is more concerned about whether or not Michelle's parents will accept him, and can he finally learn to dance prior to the reception. Will Stifler ruin the wedding? Will Michelle get the wedding of her dreams? <

>Jesse Dylan (How High) directs American Wedding. The final chapter, we hope, of the American Pie series, which is by far the worst. This is not based solely on the fact the majority of the cast does not appearing in the film. Mainly because the films story line is atrocious. The film is very average, something I would not have said about the previous two. When I first saw the film at the theatre I thought to myself, "is this Stifler the movie?" <

>American Wedding lacked the depth in terms of story of the first two films. There are still plenty of funny and awkward situations. There are also several clever lines by Stifler, and the interaction between Stifler and Finch remains funny. I guess the M.I.L.F joke never gets old? Actually, I thought it was old after the first film. Nevertheless, the character development was poor, no updates on the life of any characters really other then where they are at now, no reference to why. There is also no reference to the characters that were not in the film. Did I mention the M.I.L.F joke is old? <

>Overall the film was very average. There are still a few funny parts. You still enjoy the characters; however, that feeling is based entirely on the previous films. The film is a must have only to complete the trilogy, and not because it is a great film. The film is watchable, entertaining, but you will probably only watch it once. It is a film you should watch prior to purchasing. <

The trilogy ends in style
American Wedding is a hilarious movie, and offers a fun conclusion to the American Pie series. It ranks pretty close to the first one, and is much better than the second one, which was decent but felt really rehashed.

>The cast has been slimmed down, dropping the characters that really didn't do much in number two. Newcomer January Jones fits in well as Alyson Hannigan's sister, and Eric Allen Kramer is hilarious as "Bear." The requisite gross-out gags from the first two movies have returned, as well as the obligatory nudity scene halfway in the flick, this time in the form of strippers at a bachelor party. However, American Wedding also manages some inspired non-gross jokes, such as a dance off where Seann William Scott gets to cut loose. There is also a nice role-reversal between Scott and Eddie Kaye Thomas that ends in some subtle character development for Stifler. Overall, these are the jokes that really carry the movie, and it might've been nice to see them rely less on gross-out humour this time around.

>The dvd comes with some decent bonus features, including commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes, etc. If you can stand the gross humour the series is known for, American Wedding is worth viewing.
A complete waste of time and tape. This deserves 0 stars.
This movie (and I am using the word 'movie' in the loosest possible sense thereof) is gross and the humour is utterly vapid. It's not that I don't appreciate explicit sexual acts or references. I love tastefully done erotica or coming of age films. But the characters in this movie have no depth and are one-dimensional caricatures/clowns instead of actual persons. They don't seem to develop or grow. They're just there to do the stupidest things ever to grace humanity. I can see how the average fat stupid lazy uneducated American might enjoy this movie, but I think I might have lost a dozen braincells while watching 15 minutes of this tripe. I also might've lost respect for the actors in this film.
