Customer Reviews of American Thunder
written by a bunch of fakers Nothing in this magazine rings true to the personalities of either the drivers or the fans. I guess this is what you get from a racing magazine published in San Francisco, and written by people who are out of touch with America, let alone NASCAR fans.
NASCAR Lover's Magazine
American Thunder is a brand- new magazine that was introduced to the public in March, 2004. This magazine concentrates mostly on NASCAR and other forms of auto racing, but it does deviate from this on a few occasions, with articles on other sports depending on the season.
Aside from sports coverage, American Thunder has also posted an occasional news article. In the most recent issue, for example, there is an article on the War in Iraq. I'm not certain why the editors of the magazine chose to do this. It could be that, since the magazine is still so new, they are testing the waters with other types of stories, to see what works and what doesn't.
Most of the writers and contributors to this magazine are veteran journalists who have published their works in many places for many years. People like Jim Wright and Robert Montgomery, for instance, have written in many other publications. This is good, because having featured writers with years of experience should help to sell this new magazine to the people. A fresh crop of rookie journalists might have led to an early demise of this publication.
Because it is still so new, it is difficult to judge this magazine and to determine exactly what will happen to it in the future. There will probably be more changes as each month goes by, and the magazine will likely become more refined and more polished. But from what I can see so far, this magazine seems like a good one. The articles on auto racing are fun to read and the auxiliary items (like a calendar to keep readers informed of the dates and locations of future races) are helpful. American Thunder is, so far, a pretty good read and it would make a great gift for racing enthusiasts.
