Bringing new meaning to conservatism
This journal is an excellent purveyor of the fantastic principles of modern neo-conservatism. In fact, this journal represents well the astounding modern conservative triumph of belief over fact, and takes the actual events of the day and turns them on their head. If you take the exact opposite of most of their statements, you will have your hands on truth. <

A WAKE UP CALL
The American Sentinel (which is basically conservative), is published by Lee Bellinger, a former legislative assistant to Congressman Toby Roth (R-WI) on military and intelligence issues and also a former aide to Rep. Dan Coats (a retired senator from Indiana). Essentially it is a intelligence briefing to those who seek the latest on the goings on in government and the world concerning the vital issues that surround our national security and sovereignty.
This newsletter predicted years before the inevitability of such an attack as that which occured on 9-11, and it still brings about the information that every concerned United States citizen ought to have in relation to issues such as: Modern Liberalism (including Congressional events), One Worldism (the loss of our national sovereignty), and judicial activism (using the courts to legislate rather than judge).
One idea that he parts with some conservatives which illustrates one of the major issues of the day is his opposition to the Patriot Act, because of its intrusiveness on the ordinary citizen. National Review (another conservative magazine) is known to support the Patriot Act, though, and this explains the rift in the conservative movement over the choice between effective security and assured liberty. Libertarians oppose it, as do Modern Liberals, which does make it seem unusual to have a good portion of the conservative movement being aligned with the Modern Liberals on this matter.
All essentialy base their fear of the encroaching power of big-government, something Bush seems to be balancing between high spending and tax cuts (lower taxes bringing in greater revenue over time or also known as the Arthur Laffer curve.)
Modern Liberals on the one hand seem to merely fear encroaching government because they fear that police power would most of all hinder their tirades against the very forces that seek to protect them. Conservatives and Libertarians, on the other hand see it as a problem of individual rights as laid out in the Constitution from the original framer's point of view.
All in all, it is an excellent newsletter for those who seek to keep up-to-date on the major issues facing the American citizen and the our national sovereignty as we know it. Mr. Bellinger has a lot of contacts in the government so as to give the reader news items that highlight major issues and continues to seek to "Blow the lid off the Liberal Left's most closely guarded secrets."
