This 12-inch round All-Clad griddle is suitable for cooking everything from breakfast bacon to halibut steaks. Crafted with a three-ply bonded construction--a pure aluminum core between two layers of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel--the griddle conducts efficiently, distributes heat evenly, and stands up to oven use. Sloped sides allow for easy spatula access, while a drip well lets liquids cook off without spillover. The cooking surface is smooth and generously sized, with room enough for a couple of pork chops or a round of grilled cheese sandwiches. Next to its construction, the best feature of this griddle is a pair of wide, comfortable stainless-steel handles imprinted with the All-Clad name. Double fastened with extra-large rivets, the handles feature a flat surface with a rounded edge that makes lifting easy and carrying comfortable. Not impressed at first
I bought this to make pancakes. I didn't feel it did a good job. Maybe that is because of it's size, but I thought that because of the material, it is supposed to carry heat evenly to all areas of the griddle. I use a frying pan instead (also by All-Clad) which I find works much better. But after reading the other review, I will try it for cookies, and other baking. That wasn't something I thought of.

I purchased the griddle because it was beautiful! I did have my doubts on whether or not I would use it but I find myself reaching for this pan all the time! I have several pieces by All-Clad and am very impressed with the quality. The griddle is large and actually measures 15 inches in diameter not including the handles. Total diameter at its largest point is close to 17 inches. I found it too large to comfortably use on a single burner on the stovetop and find myself using it in the oven more. It makes a wonderful cookie sheet! The cookies bake evenly and don't stick. I have used it for nachos and various appetizers. It makes a beautiful serving platter that remains warm while the food is consumed. The possibilities are endless!
