Customer Reviews of Alec Baldwin Doesn't Love Me
A great disc, but I'm a little biased :-) This CD contains musical adaptations of a number of the stories from Michael Thomas Ford's book of the same name. The songs are fun and funny (if you don't laugh at "The Gay-B-C's" or "I Want It All", you might want to check to see if you've lost your [sense of humor]*grin*)
The bias I allude to in the title is that I performed a number of the songs on this disc with the Lehigh Valley Gay Men's Chorus at the GALA Festival 2000. I had a lot of fun doing it. I had no part in the making of this disc, but I strongly recommend it.
A good start with diverse music
Between the Michael Thomas Ford libretto and the diverse musical styles by J.A. Kawarsky, the mini-musical "Alec.." is a lot fun with some very touching moments thrown in. The 2nd half of the CD, is where the versatility of the chorus seems to really kick in from the rousing "..Drunken Sailor" to the intoxicating "Mood Indigo". The CD is a great start for them and a 'must have' for MTF, Alec Baldwin and Martha Stewart fans.
A MUST HAVE for Michael Thomas Ford fans...
Inspired by the humorous books of gay life of Michael Thomas Ford, this CD is the perfect compliment to his writings. I was especially thrilled to see that Mr Ford collaborated on the piece, creating the lyrics for "Alec", and doing the narrations as well. Great stuff!!!
